Regenerative Medicine Katy TX: Physician-Led Care That Treats the System, Not the Symptom

If you have been searching for regenerative medicine in Katy, TX, after years of appointments that managed a symptom without ever resolving it, you are in the right place. PHMX is a physician-led regenerative, osteopathic, and longevity medicine clinic on Kingsland Boulevard, and most people who come through our door have already been somewhere else. Often several somewheres.

We are not a med spa with a physician’s name on the paperwork, and we are not a specialty practice that will address one system and refer out the rest. Every patient is evaluated, and every protocol is designed by Dr. Tina Hills, D.O., ABEM, who is board-certified in emergency medicine and is the physician you will actually see.

What follows is a plain account of what we do, who it tends to help, and what a first visit involves. If you would rather just talk to someone, a discovery call is the fastest way to find out whether we are a fit for your situation.

Serving Katy patients who want more than symptom management

Katy has grown into one of the largest communities in the Houston metro, and its medical infrastructure has grown with it. Between the hospital systems along the Katy Freeway, the specialty groups clustered near Cinco Ranch, and the practices built around the Energy Corridor commute, there is no shortage of care within a few miles of our clinic.

What is harder to find is integration. Katy patients describe the same pattern to us regularly: an orthopedist for the knee, a rheumatologist for the inflammation, a primary care physician managing the medication list, and a functional medicine practitioner somewhere at the edges. Four capable providers, none of them looking at the whole picture.

That gap is what PHMX was built to fill. We are a single practice where physical structure, cellular environment, and nervous system are evaluated together, because in most of the cases we see, those are not three separate problems.

Why root cause matters more than symptom control

Most of our patients have lived a version of the same story. Something hurts, or something stops working the way it used to. A provider identifies the symptom and prescribes for it. The symptom recedes. Then it returns, or it moves, or a second one shows up beside it.

That cycle is not a failure of the providers involved. Symptom management is genuinely useful medicine and is sometimes exactly the right tool. It becomes a problem only when it is the only tool, because a suppressed symptom and a resolved cause look identical for a while.

Our evaluation starts one step earlier: what conditions in this person’s body are producing this pattern, and can those conditions be changed? Sometimes the answer is structural: fascia, alignment, restricted mobility. Sometimes it sits at the cellular level. Sometimes it is a nervous system that entered a stress state years ago and never came back out. Usually it is more than one of those at once, which is why single-modality treatment so often produces partial results that do not hold.

The PHMX approach: four principles behind every protocol

Four ideas shape how every protocol in this clinic gets built. They are not marketing language; they are the reason our evaluations take longer, and our recommendations sometimes differ from what a patient came in expecting.

Physician-led, always

Every protocol is designed and overseen by Dr. Hills personally. You are not handed to a technician working from a standing order, and your plan is not selected from a menu. In regenerative and longevity medicine, fields where clinical judgment varies enormously from provider to provider, this is the variable that matters most, and it is the one patients are least equipped to evaluate from a website.

Whole-system evaluation

Structure, cellular environment, nervous system, and the interactions among them. Looking at these together is not a philosophical preference it is a practical one. A structural restriction that keeps returning often has a nervous system component underneath it, and treating either in isolation tends to produce a result that does not last.

Root cause focus

We are looking for the mechanism producing the pattern rather than the fastest route to quieting it. In practice, that means a first visit is often longer and more diagnostic than patients expect. It also means we sometimes tell someone that what they came in asking for is not what we would recommend.

Integration by design

Regenerative therapies, osteopathic manipulation, IV support, and somatic work are not a menu of alternatives to choose among. They are used together where the evaluation supports it, because each addresses a different layer of the same system.

Services available at our Katy clinic

Every service below is delivered at the Kingsland Boulevard clinic. Which ones apply to you is determined at evaluation, not at booking.

Regenerative therapies

Stem cell, exosome, and PRP therapies intended to support the body’s own repair processes at the cellular level. These are areas of active clinical research. Before anything is recommended, we discuss what is established, what remains investigational, and what is simply not yet known, including for your specific situation. All cellular products are ethically sourced and third-party verified.

Osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT)

A hands-on approach to structural restriction, fascia, and mobility, delivered by a board-certified D.O. OMT is frequently where we begin with patients whose primary complaint is pain or limited movement, because structural findings tend to be the most tractable part of a complicated picture, and what changes there often clarifies what else is going on.

IV nutritional support

High-dose nutrient infusions formulated for the individual rather than pulled from a fixed menu, used to support immune function, energy, and recovery. Every infusion is ordered by a physician following evaluation. That is the substantive difference between clinical IV therapy and the retail version now available in most Katy shopping centers.

Peptide coaching

Guidance on peptides for wellness, recovery, performance, and metabolic health, with explicit attention to what current evidence supports and what remains investigational. This is a fast-moving field surrounded by a great deal of unreliable information, and the coaching is as much about filtering that as anything else.

Trauma and nervous system work

Somatic approaches to autonomic regulation, for patients whose physiology appears to be held in a sustained stress state. This is not psychotherapy and does not replace mental health treatment. It addresses the physical side of a nervous system that has not returned to baseline, and it works best alongside appropriate mental health care rather than instead of it.

Longevity medicine

Protocols oriented toward healthspan, cellular function, and sustained physical and cognitive performance, built from individual assessment rather than a standardized panel-and-prescription model.

Who we tend to work with

The people who find their way to PHMX are varied, but a few patterns repeat:

  • Chronic pain patients who have worked through conventional options without resolution
  • High performers pursuing longevity and sustained physical and cognitive function
  • Post-surgical patients seeking regenerative support during recovery
  • People managing autoimmune conditions where a whole-system evaluation may be appropriate
  • Burnout and nervous system recovery, often after a prolonged period of stress
  • Athletes managing recovery demands and training load

If you do not see yourself on that list, it does not rule you out. It describes who comes through the door most often, not a set of criteria.

What to expect at your first consultation

It starts with a discovery call. That conversation is free, it is not a sales call, and its purpose is to establish whether an in-person evaluation makes sense for what you are dealing with.

The initial evaluation itself runs longer than a standard appointment. Dr. Hills will take a full history, not just the current complaint but the sequence that led to it, and conduct a physical assessment that includes structural and osteopathic findings. Expect questions about things that may seem unrelated to why you came in. In a whole-system evaluation, they frequently are not.

You will leave with a clear picture of what we believe is happening, what we would recommend, what it involves in terms of time and visits, and what it costs. If we do not think this practice is the right fit for your situation, we will tell you that, and where relevant, we will point you toward what might be.

Meet Dr. Tina Hills, D.O., ABEM

Dr. Hills is board-certified in emergency medicine, a background that shapes how she practices here more than it might appear. Emergency medicine trains a physician to work out what is actually happening under time pressure, with incomplete information, across every system at once. That diagnostic habit is what she brought to regenerative care.

She built this practice after years of watching the limits of symptom management from the other side of it, with patients returning again and again, managed but not resolved. PHMX is organized around a different premise: that the body has substantial capacity to repair itself when the conditions allow for it, and that the physician’s work is largely about identifying what is preventing that.

She works alongside Troi Jorgensen, RN, our head regenerative wellness nurse, so patients have consistent clinical contact throughout a protocol rather than seeing someone new each visit.
